CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Litigation Associate (Full-Time)
Qualifications
The candidate must be a member in good standing of the Florida Bar. Preference will be given to someone with at least two years of litigation experience who exhibits ambition and a desire for permanency. While we encourage an in-office presence, remote work is available.
Responsibilities
The attorney will perform a broad range of tasks, including: Draft pleadings, motion practice, appellate briefs; Attend hearings; Research and analyze complex issues in federal and state court; Conduct depositions; Draft discovery; Draft responses to discovery; Gather and organize documents and evidence; Communicate with opposing counsel; Communicate with clients; Interview clients and witnesses; Attend mediations; Negotiate and settle claims; Supervise staff; Attend jury and non-jury trials – first or second chair depending upon client expectations, nature of claim, and attorney experience.
